Artist
Since my school days, I used to like to sign my initials i.DE. They are still with me...
I am a very happy person... happy  because everything happens. I don't feel that I'm missing anything. Life doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful... but it is beautiful...
I didn't start painting because I was missing something in my life. I wasn't looking for new emotions, experiences, but I discovered a lot. Painting is my passion and hobby.... I started because I felt inside that I really wanted to. I used to look at artists' works and ask myself why the artist decided to do it that way.
Painting is not an escape for me... not a return... and not even another life... Painting for me is a full breath of life. My present life. And my current daily life has little to do with painting or art in general. In fact, nothing at all. I am not a graduate artist. I paint because I can't do otherwise, and I paint what I find relevant and acceptable at the moment... My inspiration is my experiences, my emotions, my thoughts, my present, my surroundings... I am moved by global issues: climate change, war, terrorism, hunger... and... the endless desire to create!
Before I start working, I think for a very long time about what I want to say. When the outlines of the new work are clear in my mind, then I can start. And then I let my spontaneity flow freely. I like to see how one colour flows into another, how they merge, how they move in different directions. The most important thing is to let the colours move freely, and my job is to stop the moment. The work ends when you see before you what is first and foremost acceptable to yourself. I don't follow rules, fashions or trends. I don't expect anything and I don't claim anything... If someone likes my work, it's just a pleasure. They are all full of sincerity, good energy and many hours of thinking...
I am fascinated by abstract expressionism. A mixture of colours, shades, shapes, depth, energy, movement. Life... I want to see movement, energy and aesthetics in every work.
Lately I've been living with one phrase: "Less is More"... Have you ever thought about that?
