Artist

I'm a scientist with a PhD in biology. Once upon a time as a child, I had to choose between science and art. I took the scientific path, but the art world has never left my life. I have tried many different needlework techniques, jewellery. Finally, I entered jewellery school, deciding to tame metals. I painted my first mandala in a composition class and got hooked. I am fascinated by symmetry. I put a lot of time into my work. I think my precision, attention to detail, meticulousness and infinite patience are reflected in both my science and my painting. In painting, unlike in science, I try not to have any preconceived plan. Everything starts from the first point and then the play of colours and shapes begins. It is my rest, my meditation, my safe haven. If my paintings give the observer even a fraction of the pleasure I feel when I paint them, that would be the greatest appreciation.
