Photo Report from Vilius Ksaveras Slavinskas's Studio

A new artist has recently joined the gallery - Vilius Ksaveras Slavinskas, an extraordinarily creative and energetic artist. To mark the occasion, we paid a visit to the artist's cozy studio in Žaliakalnis, where we had the chance not only to see many interesting works, but also to chat.

About his work, the artist says: “In my searching, I try to grasp the mystery of the surrounding world and create a vision of associations drawn from personal experience. I trust viewers' own personal variations in perceiving a work, which, I believe, can shift for each person within a constant flow of moods. If the sense of a work's mystery remains, then it is possible to engage again and again in its exploration, offering various personal creative sensations. This is how I try to share the joy of creation, a kind of catharsis, with the viewer who wishes to feel the artist's creative improvisations.”

However, seeing paintings online is not the same as seeing them in person, so we invite you to view them, until the end of January, at the gallery in Kaunas (Vytauto pr. 60), where the artist's works are on display.
