Painting in the room
Rimantas Virbickas is an artist whose upbringing was steeped in creativity, as he was born into a family of artists. This atmosphere nurtured his talent from an early age, making painting a natural part of his life since childhood.
Through the years, Rimantas has steadily honed and refined his artistic abilities, attaining mastery by unwavering dedication and practice. While his technique and style have undergone transformation over time, landscape painting has remained his preferred genre. He sustains a deep, sensitive connection to nature, frequently drawing on vivid childhood recollections of summers in the countryside for inspiration.
His landscapes are notable for their gentle, romantic, and sometimes nostalgic illumination. Rather than depicting tumultuous weather or dramatic events, Rimantas gravitates towards subjects such as sunsets by the sea and lakes illuminated by golden dawn light. With an array of warm, appealing colors, he infuses these scenes with a sense of treasured summer moments.
The art of Rimantas Virbickas has attracted admirers from around the world, and many of his pieces now belong to private collections in America, Europe, and faraway places such as Jamaica and India. His paintings continue to radiate beauty and warmth wherever they are showcased.
