Salvija Vaičikonytė (b. 1995) is a vibrant Lithuanian artist and illustrator, recognized among the country's emerging creative generation. In 2015, she earned a degree in Graphic Design from Vilnius College of Technology and Design, which provided her with a solid technical and conceptual grounding for her artistic pursuits. Over the course of her career, she has held several solo exhibitions and taken part in numerous group shows and collaborative art projects, not only in Lithuania but also in Belgium and the Czech Republic, attesting to her expanding international reach.

Vaičikonytė is particularly drawn to exploring the interplay between humanity and the natural world, as well as deep themes such as loneliness and the longing for connection. Her artistic practice is characterized by a minimalist approach, employing few elements and a restrained color palette. Instead, she focuses on subtle variations and tonal shifts to evoke mood and emotion. This intentional restraint serves to heighten the power of her compositions and direct the viewer’s attention.

Vaičikonytė’s style stands out through her use of graphic, stylized lines and reduced, simplified forms. Her works often resemble the aesthetics found in illustration and poster art, defined by bold shapes and crisp outlines. Serenity and focus permeate Salvia's creations; the water’s surface remains unruffled by waves, clouds stay motionless above, the wind leaves the trees untouched, and the characters are absorbed either in their actions or in inward reflection, wrapped in a gentle melancholy.
