Indrė Jaskūnienė, an artist from Lithuania, dedicates her creative practice to examining the enduring impact of classical values and ideals on people today. Through her compelling artworks, she contemplates the ways in which the classics shape our comprehension of ideals and motivate us in our pursuit of self-improvement. Starting from a sense of hope, she explores the journeys individuals follow and the obstacles they must overcome.

Her artistic curiosity is especially drawn to the interplay between modern-day values and the "gods" or guiding concepts that subtly reside in our subconscious minds. She poses critical questions regarding the compromises made throughout one’s life, implying that fundamental values are put to the test with each generation. As each life cycle unfolds, the artist considers whether these core principles will be preserved or transformed by individuals.

As a member of the Lithuanian Artists' Union, Indrė Jaskūnienė holds both a bachelor's and a master's degree in graphic design with a focus on printmaking from the Vilnius Academy of Arts. Etching is her primary means of expression, and since 1994, she has remained active in the art world, having mounted three solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group shows. Her recent highlights include presenting work at the Book Art Exhibition "Illustration and Book" in Vilnius (2015), the 1st Print Biennale India at Lalit Kala Akademi in New Delhi (2018), as well as a postcard exhibition focused on migration, held at Centotto Gallery in Brooklyn, USA, and at Officina 15 in Bologna, Italy (2019).

Alongside her printmaking, Jaskūnienė is engaged in book design and illustration, working on various projects with the publishing house Kronta. Her portfolio encompasses contributions to titles such as "Organ Music in Lithuania in the 20th Century" by J. Landsbergytė (2008) and "Philosophers. Acquaintance with Great Western Thinkers" by T. Honderich (2008). She has also created illustrations for several publications and, beginning in 2018, has been hosting educational sessions in graphics and illustration by employing the techniques developed by Hervé Tullet and Gek Tessaro. At present, Indrė Jaskūnienė lives and works in Vilnius.
