Arvydas Karvelis is an artist whose creative process is fundamentally anchored in a willingness to embrace both chance and the unexpected. He regards his work as a continuous act of interpretation, where surprise and unpredictability play leading roles. Rather than avoiding uncertainty, Karvelis intentionally pursues it, allowing fortuity to shape his artistic journey and lead to singular results. From 1983 to 1990, Arvydas Karvelis studied graphic design at the Klaipėda Department of the Lithuanian State Institute of Art. Since 1995, he has belonged to the Lithuanian Artists' Union, the Klaipėda County Artists' Union, and the artists' group "Doooooris." Practicing across painting, graphics, installation, and collage, Karvelis has been exhibiting his work since 1989 and has organized thirty solo exhibitions, establishing himself as a prominent and enduring presence in the Lithuanian art landscape.
