"I consider myself to have a classical background in painting, because a classical understanding of painting through composition, colour and touch is important to me. A broad knowledge of the development of art leaves a lot of room for experimentation, for combining with another discipline, for using mixed techniques. Echoes of art from avant-garde or, say, "outsider" art, or any kind of fringe work, do not distinguish the aforementioned "classical" perception. The works presented here are created at different times, which results in a rather radical stylistic diversity that prevents placing the person (the artist) in an art-historical shelf, giving a "clearer face", but at the same time testifying to the activity of thought, influences and constant change," the artist introduces himself.
